Optimising your databases

< 1 min read

As you are editing databases they end up a bit like Swiss cheese, full of holes! Every now and again you need to compress these holes  i.e freeing up space to optimise your tables performance.

I have made a list of steps to follow below should you wish to carry out a file compression: -

  1. Login to CPanel
  2. Look for and click on PHPmyadmin
  3. On the left hand side click the database that you would like to optimise
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click where it says select all tables with overheads
  5. In the drop down menu, Select optimise tables
